Scenario
Charles, a retired man, is given a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home
Michael Schur was inspired to create “A Man On the Inside” after watching the Chilean documentary “The Mole Agent.” He says, “The Mole Agent documentary is powerful because it makes people feel remarkably similar regardless of age, ethnicity or gender, and I would describe that feeling in a very reductive way: “I need to call my mom.” In our show, we tried to do something similar with the tone: Does our show basically make us feel like we want to call our moms?
Remake of The Mole Agent (2020)
I’m not a binge-watcher, but we binged the whole season on night one.
It has the right mix of warm, funny, sad and profound with a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat
Ted Danson Of course it’s great, but Stephanie Beatriz (Diaz in “99”) is great and her character is someone you’d love to spend all your time with.It’s set in San Francisco, which obviously benefits my rating, but most of all, even if it’s very sad at times, it’s a comedy that gives you hope for the future, as we all get a little older.
